Mr. Berk was born on May 7, 1955, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in 1977 from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts after attending his junior year at the University of Durham, England, U.K. He then went on to receive his J.D. in 1980 from the Widener University School of Law, formerly the Delaware Law School. He has two adult sons.
